Richard B. Christensen, age 35, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away Sunday morning, August 22, 2010 in Sparks.  Rich was born January 25, 1975 in Provo, Utah to Don and Diana Christensen, the second of four sons.  Rich’s family relocated to Sparks in August of 1977 and Rich attended local schools, graduating Edward Reed High School in 1993.  Rich possessed a passion for sports from a young age and was proficient in Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Snow Skiing, Water Skiing and most passionately, Scuba Diving.  In 2001, Rich was a founding partner and general manager of Adventure Scuba, a successful Scuba Dive shop in Reno.  Technical Diving was his specialty and great love.
          Rich is survived by his wife, Mavy Duran and daughter, Isabella Rose of the family home in Sparks.  He is additionally survived by his brothers Bart and Brent of Reno and Danny of Sparks as well his parents, Don and Diana, also of Sparks.
          A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 7625 Shadow Lane, Sparks, NV, 89434.
          A Celebration of Life will also be held in Reno at a later date.
