Kenneth Morton, born November 4, 1912, in Ainsworth, Nebraska, passed away on August 22, 2010, in Reno, Nevada.  He married Diora Henderson September 20, 1933.  The union brought them the joy of six children.  They were married 70 years when Diora died in 2003.

During World War II, Ken was a lead welder in the shipyards in Portland, Oregon.  He was preceded in death by four of his children, Gwendolin, Wesley, Bruce and Madelon.  The surviving children are Karen Drynan and Virginia Bertrand, along with 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Fishing with his wife was his favorite pastime, as was belonging to the Odd Fellows.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 6:30 pm at Walton’s Sierra Chapel, 875 West Second Street, Reno.
