Charles Leslie "Les" Pope passed away at his home in Fallon, unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.Les was born March 3, 1950 in Panguitch, Utah to Don and Ellen Pope. The family moved to Fallon when Les was in Jr High. He graduated from Churchill County High School in 1969.Les worked as a welder for Fallon Welding/Otts Farm Equipment for 35 years.
He enjoyed many things in life, bowling, billiards, gold panning, astrometry, hunting and fishing. He loved model trains, building a model railroad station for his grandson was a highlight in his life. Les was a wonderful caring person and will be missed by many.
Preceded in death by his parents. Les is survived by his wife, Carrol Pope; daughter, Rose Pope and finance, Billyjack Johnson; grandson, Donnie; brother, Robert Pope all of Fallon; step-daughter Cynthia (Kevin) Daves of WA.; brother, Richard (Cheri) Pope of Carson City; sisters, Gina (Al) McGaughy of Reno; Karen Sullivan of Utah; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Les's life to be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:00 A M at The Gardens Chapel.
