Albert E. Gomes, life long Nevada resident passed away at Highland Manor in Fallon on November 3,2011. Albert was born to Frank and Amelia Gomes, December 22, 1915 in Yerington.The family moved to Fallon when Albert was in grade school, he attended Harmon School. Albert joined the US Army at the start of WWII, returning home in 1945.He has done ranch work all of his life, living  in McDermintt for over 32 years.Albert has lived on his nephews ranch, Frank and Kay Soares, for many years. He loved being part of the ranching life, helping out where ever he was needed. When his health declined he became a resident at Highland Manor.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe; Louie;and Frankie; sisters, Eva Castello; Annie Titell; Glaydas Domenici; nephew Louie Castello. Albert is survived by his sister, Marie Rodgers of Reno ; many nieces and nephews.
Interment was at Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada on November 8, 2011.
Arrangements were under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home, Crematory, Cemetery 2949 Austin Highway Fallon, NV. 89406
